Space Word Search Puzzles
Space lists mix short names (mars, moon) with long hardware words (astronaut, telescope). Solar System is a Medium 15 × 15 that includes the eight planets plus sunlight, moon, planet, and orbit. Stars and Sky is Hard on an 18 × 18 so words such as starlight and twilight can sit without colliding. Space Exploration stays Hard on 15 × 15 with mission hardware. Moon Vocabulary is Medium and uses ordinary observing words: crescent, gibbous, waxing, waning, and mare for the dark lunar plains. Astronomy Basics is Easy, with axis, gravity, and zenith on a smaller grid for a first look at the topic.
These puzzles are vocabulary practice, not a substitute for a science lesson. The words are common English terms you would see in an introductory book. If a name will not fit, the generator reports it instead of dropping it. For a classroom sheet, print Solar System without answers and keep the answer key on a second page. Astronomy Basics is the gentlest entry; Stars and Sky is the longest sit-down on this shelf.

Space puzzle questions
Does mare mean a horse?
In Moon Vocabulary it is the lunar plain. The puzzle does not mix horse vocabulary into that list.
Why is Stars and Sky on 18 × 18?
Several night-sky words are long. A larger Hard grid gives the placer more candidate paths.
Can I add a spacecraft name?
Use the custom maker. Keep names to 18 letters or fewer after spaces are removed.
